This workshop is spread over 2 sessions. Fri. 31st Oct 6:30pm-8.30pm & Sunday 2nd Nov 10am -12:30pm. Session 1: Learn to throw mug bodies on the wheel. Session 2: Trim, add a handle to your favourite 2 shapes & slip decorate 4 spaces in total :) Please only book if you can attend both sessions

About the event
This fun mini course is spread over 2 sessions. You will learn how to make mugs using the potter's wheel. You will also learn how to trim and pull handles. Then you have the opportunity to decorate your mugs with coloured slips to make them totally unique.
In the first session you will be guided to throw several mug bodies. In the second session you will tidy and trim your 2 favourite mug bodies and learn how to pull and attach the handles.
Your two mugs will then be fired twice in the kiln. After the first 'bisque' firing the mugs will be dipped into our glossy clear studio glaze. Then they are fired a second time to stoneware making them durable for everyday use.
This is a fun mini course and is suitable for beginners or those with some previous throwing experience.
