Individual Potter's Wheel Tuition

90 minutes of personalised one to one wheel tuition taught by Louisa.

These sessions are focussed but relaxed.  They are ideal for beginners or those who have done a short course and would like to spend a bit more time learning a specific skill or skills.  You will get 100% attention from me with no distractions from other students.

I can help you troubleshoot and develop your emerging wheel skills at your own pace. The content of each session can be tailored to you.  Just let me know before the session what you would like to cover and that will be our focus for the session.

You will gain confidence and make leaps forward with your throwing skills with these sessions and I am happy to share all I know :)

The aim is not to produce work to keep.  These sessions are intended to help you learn and develop your skills through practise, so most pots will inevitably end up in the reclaim bucket.   It is good practise to slice your pots in half from time to time to see how even the walls are, and how they can be improved. You may wish to experiment with how thin, high or wide you can push the clay.

No firing of pots is included from these sessions, however, If you wish to keep any of the pots you have made, this is possible with an additonal firing charge.

The firing and clear glazing of any pots measuring a maximum of 20cm diameter and 20cm tall will be charged at £5 per pot.  This payment is made at the end of the session by either cash or card.

Please see our see our Covid Secure Guidelines to fully understand how the session will be running during this time.
